Digestive amyloidosis is a disease linked to the deposition in different organs of the digestive system of amyloid substance. There are two forms, AL amyloidosis or primary amyloidosis; A for amyloidosis and L for immunoglobulin light chain and amyloidosis secondary to chronic inflammation is the AA phenotype.
