The entire world watched with horror when at the beginning of 2022, Russia attacked neighbouring Ukraine in or- der to fight with the alleged Nazism and the mistreatment of Russian citizens in Ukraine. The breakout of the conflict gave rise to varying media reports that have been flourishing in global and especially European media. This research analysed framing tendencies in the headlines of media reports from Onet.pl – one of the most popular and commonly visited news portals in Poland. The results of the study revealed strong framing leanings with two issue-specific frames dominating the discourse on top of a one-sided bias of the medium and its journalists in favour of Ukraine. At the same time particular framing trends and tendencies have been uncovered which suggest varying political and ideological skews that managed to influenced media reports in Poland, allowing for common support of the Ukrainian cause and what followed, a favourable reception of millions of Ukrainian refugees fleeing the country, to find shelter in Poland.
