Lung cancer remains a significant health burden globally, with high mortality rates despite advances in diagnosis and treatment. Palliative care plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for patients with lung cancer, particularly in advanced stages where curative treatment options may be limited. This review provides a comprehensive overview of the current state of lung cancer diagnosis and the role of palliative care in its management. It explores various diagnostic modalities, including imaging techniques, molecular testing, and biopsy procedures, and discusses the integration of palliative care into the treatment paradigm to address symptom burden, psychosocial support, and end-of-life care.
