Calculation of the Date on Which the Meteorites Fell, Cuba, Using Ror Modeling

Abstract

Ricardo Oses Rodriguez and Rigoberto Fimia Duarte

To carry out this work, data from the falls of the 5 confirmed meteorites that have affected Cuba were used, according to the Granma Newspaper, dated Saturday, April 13, 2024. A data was created in Excel, with the year, the month, day and place in which their falls occurred, for the place a series of data was created from 1 to 5 since the places where these meteorites have fallen are different, the correlation of these variables was calculated, and it was modeled using Regression, ROR, for each of them. For year, the model explains 100% of the variance with an error of 9 years. For the month and day, the model explains 100% of the variance with errors that cannot be seen when division by zero comes into play. The next events could occur in the year 2051 and 2062, with an error of 9 years, for these years the months where they should occur are month 2 and month 9, it can also be seen that the events of the year 1844 and 1974, the meteorites should have occurred according to the forecast on the 21st and 17th respectively.
