Viral Diseases

Nucleosides and nucleotides have played a consequential role in the treatment of viral diseases. The treatment of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection has visually perceived the exordium of no less than eight nucleos(t)ides into clinical practice where they have become the cornerstone of coalescence therapies. Nucleos(t)ides have become the standard of care for the treatment of hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection and are expeditiously emerging as the backbone of future amalgamation regimens for the treatment of hepatitis C virus  infection. The treatment of many other viral infections such as those caused by cytomegalovirus, herpes simplex virus, Epstein Barr virus, and varicella zoster virus rely heavily on nucleos(t)ide-predicated therapies. Consequently, because of the broad utility and prosperity of these molecules in the treatment of viral diseases, efforts perpetuate to probe for novel nucleos(t)ides that can have an impact in antiviral clinical practice. This review will fixate on recent developments in the field of nucleos(t)ide antiviral drug revelation and development with accentuation on HIV, HBV, HCV, and Dengue virus.espite the accentuation on evolutionary aspects, aversion and treatment of viral disease have many other angles some of which were considered in connection with factors of disease emergence Three of them should be mentioned here because they are as paramount as the adequate treatment designs described in this  adequacy of public health measures, public information about virus sources and betokens of contagion and  desideratum of ecumenical political action. Information to the public should aim at constraining the spread of disease that is, undertaking personal and collective actions to truncate the R0 value for a given virus As an illustration of this key point, there was a quite extensive information campaign on HIV-1 and AVAILS in developed countries during the early decenniums of HIV-1 spread, while the information about other potentially threatening viruses such as Ebola or the astringent acute or the Middle East respiratory syndrome  coronaviruses was more circumscribed.
