Vasculitis is an inflammation of the blood vessels. It happens when the body's system attacks the vessel by mistake. It can happen due to an infection, a drugs, or another disease. Vasculitis can cause vessel walls to thicken and narrow, isolating vital blood supply to tissues and organs. Symptoms include fever, fatigue, weight loss and muscle and joint pain.
