Tilapia Group Journals List
Tilapias are a family of cichlids which are found throughout Africa. They are highly adaptable animals and can be found in a variety of freshwater ecosystems; from tropical streams and rivers to huge alkaline lakes such as Lake Malawi. Some have even been found living in brackish and saltwater estuaries. Tilapia has long since been cultivated for food and is now farmed throughout the world. Sadly some species of tilapia have now become invasive in Australia, North America and Asia where they have either been deliberately or accidentally introduced to freshwater systems. Aside from food, some smaller colourful species of tilapia are kept in aquariums alongside similarly sized and tempered fish. The information can be published in our peer reviewed journal with impact factors and are calculated using citations not only from research articles but also review articles (which tend to receive more citations), editorials, letters, meeting abstracts, short communications, and case reports. The inclusion of these publications provides the opportunity for editors and publishers to manipulate the ratio used to calculate the impact factor and try to increase their number rapidly. Impact factor plays a major role for the particular journal. Journal with higher impact factor is considered to be more important than other ones.
