Sociology is that the study of social life, social change, and therefore the social causes and consequences of human behavior. Sociologists are often divided into camps of support for particular research techniques. These disputes relate to the epistemological debates at the historical core of social theory. While very different in many aspects, both qualitative and quantitative approaches involve a scientific interaction between theory and data. It focuses on social structure and how the structures interact to modify human behaviour, actions, opportunities, and how the patterns of social existence engender social problems. Social institutions include kinship, economic, political, education, and religious institutions. These parts are interdependent and interrelated with specialised functions towards the survival of the society. This is why the human society is often referred to as a social system. Journal of Sociology is an international peer reviewed journal which includes study of the development, structure, and functioning of human society with relates to social problems. It publishes the research work which covers studies on Social aspects of society, Sociological literature, literatures of political science, psychology, anthropology and statistics.
