Sedimentary Rocks Innovations
Innovations are the application of better solutions that meet new requirements, inarticulate needs or existing market needs. It is proficient through more effective products, processes, services, technologies, or new ideas that are readily available to markets, governments and society. Innovations are something original and novel, as a significant, new that “breaks into” the market or society. A sedimentary rock composed of mostly sand-sized particles, usually cemented by calcite, silica or iron oxide. Limestone is a sedimentary rock composed of mostly calcium carbonates that formed by chemical precipitation from seawater or by the accumulation of fossils, such as shell, coral and algal mounds. The sediment (the sand, mud and pebbles) that make up Sedimentary rocks come from other rocks that have been worn down by wind, rain and snow. When we find sedimentary rocks we can work out what the environment was like when those rocks were formed – old sand dunes and river channels are preserved in the rocks. Rivers, oceans, winds, and rain runoff all have the ability to carry the particles washed off of eroding rocks. Such material, called detritus consists of fragments of rocks and minerals. When the energy of the transporting current is not strong enough to carry these particles, the particles drop out in the process of sedimentation. This type of sedimentation is called biochemical sedimentation.
