Scoliosis Scholarly Peer-review Journal

Scoliosis is a condition where the shape of the spine is changed from straight to curved. The structure may be similar to S or A. It can be of two types, they are congenital and idiopathic. The congenital scoliosis is basically caused by abnormalities in vertebra that too from birth. The main reason of occurrence of idiopathic scoliosis is not known and is sub categorized according to the onset such as infantile, juvenile, adolescent or adult. People having reached skeletal maturity are less likely to have a worsening case. Some severe cases of scoliosis can lead to reducing lung capacity, putting pressure on the heart, and restricting physical activities. Scholarly peer review is the process of subjecting an author's scholarly work, research, or ideas to the scrutiny of others who are experts in the same field, before a paper describing this work is published in a journal. The work may be accepted, considered acceptable with revisions, or rejected. Peer review requires a community of experts in a given (narrowly defined) field, who are qualified and able to perform reasonably impartial review.
