Research In Clinical Health Informatics
Clinical Health Informatics is an interdisciplinary field that deals with data, information and knowledge associated with health and healthcare systems. The sector draws on scientific theories and methodologies from a spread of domains including medicine, computing, psychology and social and behavioral sciences. While the inclusive field of informatics has been around since the 1960’s, its transformation and mainstream scientific prevalence is rooted within the progress of healthcare practice. Such research activities have led to more usable EHR and other health IT systems, better standards for usability of medical devices, improvement of streamlined clinical workflows and processes, and improved patient safety and quality outcomes. As a result of Clinical Health informatics could also be a good range profession, also as many separate specialized sub-disciplines, materials science, physics, biology, industries, hydrology, surroundings, and different fields.
