Poultry In Industries

Poultry industries worldwide have had to confront the problem of waste management. Poultry production results in several waste products, and feather disposal present a major waste challenge. Large companies in the business of raising and freezing processed chickens, often run into problems of how to dispose this waste. Many took to dumping the waste into any available water bodies close to the farm or factory. This practice has led to water pollution and endemic disease outbreaks on many occasions. Production of feathers by poultry farms has risen in proportion to growth in human populations. Hydrolyzed feather technology has gone a long way to solve this disposal challenge, and ameliorated environmental hazard management. Hydrolyzed feathers can be used to replace other expensive protein based ingredients, such as fish meal and blood meal. This reduces the cost of fish feed production, and supplementing dwindling supplies. The poultry industry is one of the most successful sectors of US agriculture; however, ensuring the microbiological safety of poultry meat is a formidable challenge
