Optics
Journal of Lasers, Optics & Photonics is among the best peer-reviewed journals in Laser Optics. Articles published in this peer-reviewed journal are properly reviewed by at least two reviewers of the associated fields. Optics deals with a branch of physics which involves the properties and behaviour of light, the construction of instruments that use or detect it and including its interactions with matter. With the help of optics one can describes the behaviours of ultraviolet, visible and infrared light. Since light is a form of electromagnetic wave, the properties of these have similar to other forms of electromagnetic radiation such as microwaves, X-rays and radio waves. Optical nature can be accounted due to using of classical electromagnetic description of light. However applying the complete electromagnetic descriptions of light is not possible or its difficult. Practically optics is commonly applied in simplified models such as geometric optics in which light is treated as a collection of rays that tends to travel in a straight line and gets refracted when they pass or just reflect form surfaces. Physical optics on other hand is an comprehensive model of light, which compraises of wave effects such as diffraction and interference which cannot be accounted in simple geometric optics.
