It has been an integral a part of human history, providing food and ecological services. Yet conservation efforts and concerns with environmental degradation have mostly focused on terrestrial issues. Marine ecological degradation is a serious concern both because of the changes in marine systems. The destruction of marine habitats is particularly prevalent along coastlines where human populations have increased. Habitat loss, pollution, overfishing, destructive fishing practices, and heating are all undermining the marine environment. Review articles are the summary of current state of understanding on a specific research topic. They analyze or discuss research previously published by scientist and academicians instead of reporting novel research results. They then compare the results presented in these papers. Literature reviews, against this , provide a summary of what the authors believe are the simplest and most relevant prior publications. The concept of "review article" is break away the concept of peer-reviewed literature. It is possible for a review to be peer-reviewed, and it's possible for a review to be non-peer-reviewed.
