Neuroscience
Neuroscience is the scientific study of the nervous system. It combines physiology, anatomy, molecular biology, developmental biology, cytology, mathematical modeling, and psychology to understand the fundamental and emergent properties of neurons and neural circuits. It is used to diagnose disease and assess the health of the brain. It can also be useful in the study of the brain, how it works, and how different activities affect the brain. Neuroinformatics – integrates data across all areas of neuroscience, to help understand the brain and treat diseases. Neuroscience majors study a combination of subjects, including psychology and chemistry, to deepen their understanding of the brain and the nervous system. They also investigate what happens to the nervous system when people have neurological, psychiatric, and neuro developmental disorders.
