Natural disasters are major adverse events like floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tsunamis, storms, and other geologic processes resulting from natural processes of the Earth. A natural disaster can cause loss of life or damage to property, and usually leaves some economic damage in its wake, the severity of which depends on the resilience of affected population and also on the infrastructure available.
