Mycobacteriology High Impact Factor Journals
Mycobacterial infections are a group of multisystem infections caused by the members of the family Mycobacteriaceae. These organisms are characterized by their staining and are identified as acid fast bacilli. NTM include all mycobacteria except Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex and Mycobacterium leprae. The Mantoux tuberculin skin test (TST) or the TB blood test can be used to test for M. tuberculosis infection. Additional tests are required to confirm TB disease. The Mantoux tuberculin skin test is performed by injecting a small amount of fluid called tuberculin into the skin in the lower part of the arm.
This information can be published in our peer reviewed journal with impact factors and are calculated using citations not only from research articles but also review articles (which tend to receive more citations), editorials, letters, meeting abstracts, short communications, and case reports. The inclusion of these publications provides the opportunity for editors and publishers to manipulate the ratio used to calculate the impact factor and try to increase their number rapidly. Impact factor plays a major role for the particular journal. Journal with higher impact factor is considered to be more important than other ones.
