Hematopathology Open Access Articles
Hematopathology is a study of blood and its disorders which encompasses different subdisciplines, including the morphology of blood and blood forming tissues, coagulation system and transfusion medicine, including stem cell transplantation. Hematologists are specially trained doctors who look specifically at blood components, such as blood count, and blood and bone marrow cells. Hematological tests can help diagnose anemia, hemophilia, blood-clotting disorders, and leukemia. A tissue diagnosis can be made on the basis of biopsy material taken from the patient on the ward or in the operating theatre, or from autopsy material. The open access journals are peer reviewed scholarly journals of Clinical & Experimental Pathology.
