While there are several definitions of frailty, it is seen as a multidimensional concept with various indicators such as weight loss, lack of physical activity, and lack of strength. A systematic review showed that the weighted prevalence of frailty in community-dwelling older adults was 10.7% (ranging between 4.0 and 59.1) . Previous research has shown that frail older adults are more at risk for adverse health outcomes, such as falls, mobility decline, hospitalization, institutionalization, and increased risk of death.
