Financial Management

Financial Management means planning, organizing, directing and controlling the financial activities such as procurement and utilization of funds of the enterprise. It means applying general management principles to financial resources of the enterprise.

Financial management is defined as dealing with and analyzing money and investments for a person or a business to help make business decisions. An example of financial management is the work done by an accounting department for a company.

The three types of financial management decisions are capital budgeting, capital structure, and working capital management. A business transaction that would include capital budgeting is if your company should open another store or not.The primary objectives of financial management are: Attempting to reduce the cost of finance. Ensuring sufficient availability of funds. Also, dealing with the planning, organizing, and controlling of financial activities like the procurement and utilization of funds.
