Experimental Genomics Research Articles
Genomics is a branch of genetics that applies methods like recombinant DNA, DNA sequencing and bioinformatics to sequence, assemble, and research the function and structure of genomes. It involves research to analyse even the most complex biological systems. It is also involved in evaluating the entire DNA sequence of organisms and fine-scale genetic mapping. Genomics is an interdisciplinary field of biology focusing on the structure, function, evolution, mapping, and editing of genomes. A genome is an organism's complete set of DNA, including all of its genes. The genome is the entire DNA content that is present within one cell of an organism. Experts in genomics strive to determine complete DNA sequences and perform genetic mapping to help understand disease. Genomic medicine is the field of study that looks into genes (our DNA) and their interaction with our health. Genomics investigates the complex biological details of an individual and the use of these for effective diagnosis and tailor-made treatment. Genomics uses a combination of recombinant DNA, DNA sequencing methods, and bioinformatics to sequence, assemble, and analyse the structure and function of genomes.
