Charcot foot or Charcot arthropy is a syndrome in patients who have loss of sensation in their lower extremity. This condition can be accompanied with fracture or dislocation in the joints along without trauma. People with diabetes, poliomyelitis and leprosy are more prone to this condition. Diagnosis stages various from patients to patients. The more common symptoms at early stages include redness, swelling and warmth. Surgical and non- surgical methods forms the common treatment methodologies. However the recovery stage varies from person to person.
