In the Science Mission Directorate (SMD), the Astrophysics division contemplates the universe. The science objectives of the SMD Astrophysics Division are stunning: we try to comprehend the universe and our place in it. We are beginning to research the exact instant of production of the universe and are near learning the full history of stars and worlds. We are finding how planetary frameworks structure and how conditions accommodating forever create. Also, we will scan for the mark of life on different universes, maybe to discover that we are not the only one. Astronomy includes three engaged and two cross-cutting projects. These engaged projects give a scholarly structure to propelling science and directing key arranging.
