Author Guidelines
Archivos de Ciencia e Investigación welcomes submissions from researchers worldwide who are working on innovative, high-quality interdisciplinary research. Please read the following guidelines carefully before submitting your manuscript to ensure that it meets our requirements. We strive to make the submission and review process as smooth and transparent as possible.
General Submission Information
1. Originality: We only accept original research that has not been published elsewhere, either in part or in full, including in other journals, conferences, or online platforms. Authors should ensure that their manuscript is free from plagiarism and that all sources are properly cited.
2. Language: Manuscripts should be submitted in English. If English is not the author’s first language, we encourage the use of professional editing services to improve the language quality of the manuscript.
3. Submission Fee: The submission fee is $190 USD. This fee covers the administrative costs associated with the peer review and editorial process. Payment instructions will be provided upon submission.
4. Peer Review: All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process. The identity of both the authors and reviewers is kept confidential during the review process. Authors are expected to consider reviewer comments carefully when revising their manuscript.
5. Copyright: By submitting to Archivos de Ciencia e Investigación, authors grant us the right to publish and disseminate their work under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license. This means that authors retain copyright but allow others to use, share, and distribute the article with proper attribution.
Manuscript Submission Process
1. Online Submission: All manuscripts must be submitted through our online submission system.
2. Manuscript Files: Prepare and submit your manuscript in Word or PDF format. If submitting as a Word document, please ensure that all elements (figures, tables, references, etc.) are embedded within the document.
3. Cover Letter: A cover letter is required for all submissions. The cover letter should include:
- A brief summary of your research and its significance
- A statement confirming that the manuscript is not under consideration for publication elsewhere
- Any potential conflicts of interest
4. Declarations: Authors must submit a Conflict-of-Interest Declaration and a Statement on Ethical Approval (for studies involving human or animal subjects). Any potential conflicts should be disclosed at the time of submission.
Formatting Requirements
To streamline the review and publication process, please adhere to the following formatting requirements:
1. Title Page: Include the following information on the title page:
- Title of the manuscript (concise and informative)
- Full names of all authors, including institutional affiliation, and corresponding author contact information (email, phone number)
- Corresponding author should be indicated with an asterisk (*)
2. Abstract: Provide a structured abstract (maximum of 300 words) that includes the following sections:
- Background/Context
- Objective/Purpose
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusion/Implications
3. Keywords: Include 5–7 keywords that best describe the content of your article.
4. Main Text: The body of your manuscript should follow the structure below:
- Introduction: Briefly introduce the topic, research question, and the context of the study. Highlight the significance and objectives of the research.
- Methods: Detail the methodologies and techniques used in your research. Be precise to allow replication of the study.
- Results: Present the key findings of the study, supported by data, tables, and figures. Use clear and concise language.
- Discussion: Interpret the results, discuss their significance, and explore potential implications. Compare findings with previous studies and identify any limitations.
- Conclusion: Summarize the key findings and suggest future research directions or practical applications.
5. Figures and Tables:
- Figures and tables should be embedded within the manuscript, not as separate files.
- Each figure and table must be cited in the text.
- High-quality images are required (minimum resolution of 300 dpi for images, 600 dpi for line art).
- Provide descriptive captions for each figure and table.
6. References:
- All references should be listed in APA style (7th edition).
- Ensure accuracy in referencing, especially for online sources (e.g., DOI, URLs).
- References should only include works that are cited in the manuscript

Ethical Considerations
Archivos de Ciencia e Investigación is committed to ensuring the highest ethical standards in publishing. We expect all authors to adhere to the following ethical guidelines:
- Human and Animal Rights: Authors submitting manuscripts reporting experiments involving human participants or animals must provide a statement confirming that appropriate ethical approval was obtained. Provide the name of the ethics committee and the approval number.
- Data Integrity: All data presented must be authentic and reproducible. Fabricated or manipulated data will lead to immediate rejection of the manuscript and may result in further actions.
- Plagiarism: We use plagiarism detection software to identify potential plagiarism in submitted manuscripts. Submissions found to contain plagiarized content will be rejected.
- Authorship: All authors listed on the manuscript should have significantly contributed to the research. Each author must approve the final version of the manuscript.
- Conflicts of Interest: Authors must declare any potential conflicts of interest that could be perceived as influencing the research or its interpretation.
Processing Charges
- Submission Fee: $190 USD (covers administrative and peer review costs).
- Article Processing Charge (APC): An additional APC of $800 USD will be charged upon acceptance for publication, which covers the production, open access publication, and dissemination of the article.
Please note that the APC is applicable only upon acceptance. We offer fee discounts or waivers on a case-by-case basis, particularly for authors from low- and middle-income countries.
Manuscript Formatting Guidelines
1. Manuscript Title:
- The title should be limited to 25 words or less and should not contain abbreviations.
- It should be a brief phrase describing the contents of the paper.
2. Author Information:
- Provide complete names and affiliations of all authors, including contact details of the corresponding author (Telephone, Fax, and E-mail address).
3. Abstract:
- The abstract should be informative and self-explanatory, summarizing the topic, scope of experiments, significant data, major findings, and conclusions.
- Limit the abstract to 300 words or less.
- Use standard nomenclature and avoid abbreviations.
- Include keywords (3-10) and abbreviations after the abstract.
4. Text Introduction:
- Set the tone of the paper by providing a clear statement of the study, relevant literature, and proposed approach or solution.
- Attract readers' attention from a broad range of scientific disciplines.
5. Materials and Methods:
- Provide a complete overview of the study design.
- Include detailed descriptions of materials, participants, comparisons, interventions, and types of analysis.
- Describe only new procedures in detail; cite previously published procedures and mention important modifications briefly.
- Capitalize trade names and include the manufacturer’s name and address.
6. Results:
- Provide complete details of the experiment to support the study's conclusion.
- Write the results in the past tense for the authors' experiments and in the present tense for previously published findings.
- Combine or maintain results and discussion in separate sections.
- Avoid speculation and detailed interpretation of data in the results section.
7. Acknowledgment:
- Include acknowledgments of people, grants, funds, etc.
8. References:
- Include only published or accepted manuscripts in the reference list.
- Do not cite meeting abstracts, conference talks, or papers submitted but not yet accepted.
- Provide at least one online link for each reference.
Copyright Submission:
- Submission of a manuscript implies that the work described has not been published before (except as an abstract or as part of a published lecture or thesis) and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Creative Commons Attribution License:
- All works published in the Data Analytics and Engineering Decision Making are under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License, allowing copying, distribution, transmission, and adaptation provided the original work and sources are appropriately cited.
