Aims and Scope

Archivos de Ciencia e Investigación is an interdisciplinary, open-access journal dedicated to the publication of high-quality research that addresses critical global challenges. We welcome contributions that span the full spectrum of scientific knowledge, from health and medicine to engineering, technology, social sciences, and humanities. Our journal serves as a platform where researchers can explore complex issues, propose innovative solutions, and engage in collaborative work across traditional disciplinary boundaries.

Scope

Our journal accepts original, unpublished research from all disciplines. We are particularly interested in work that:

Research that explores interdisciplinary solutions to these issues is highly encouraged.

We publish work that bridges disciplines and promotes cooperation among scholars from diverse fields, such as medicine, engineering, economics, environmental science, sociology, psychology, and political science.

Types of Manuscripts Accepted

We invite submissions in the following formats:

• Original Research Articles: Rigorous empirical research that presents new findings or novel methodologies. These articles should contribute to advancing knowledge within their respective fields and explore practical applications.
• Review Articles: Comprehensive and systematic reviews of a specific topic or research area. These articles should critically summarize current research trends, challenges, and future directions in the field.
• Short Communications: Brief articles that present novel discoveries or new techniques in a concise manner. These communications typically do not exceed 3,000 words.
• Case Studies: In-depth analysis of real-world phenomena or applications in diverse fields. Case studies may involve complex systems or experiments that demonstrate important lessons for practice.
• Opinion Pieces: Thought-provoking essays or discussions about the future of science, policy, or technology. These articles should encourage debate and reflection on the societal impacts of research and innovation.
• Letters to the Editor: Short responses or comments on previously published articles, offering new insights, critiques, or perspectives.
• Commentaries: Authoritative perspectives on emerging trends, controversial issues, or hot topics in science, policy, or technology.
• Methodology Articles: Articles focused on introducing, developing, or improving research methodologies, including data collection, analysis techniques, or experimental design.
• Perspectives: Insightful articles that present the future directions in a specific field or highlight new opportunities for innovation and interdisciplinary work.
• Research Protocols: Detailed descriptions of planned research or methodological frameworks that are being developed for ongoing or future studies. These articles should aim to engage the research community and provide transparency in the research process.
• Technical Notes: Articles that describe new tools, technologies, or instruments that can be used in various research fields. These may include descriptions of innovative techniques, devices, or procedures.
• Data Articles: Articles focused on the presentation of data, including large datasets, and their analysis. These articles should aim to make data publicly available to facilitate further research.
• Special Issues: Articles that are part of a themed issue, typically focused on a specific topic, challenge, or research area. Special issues are guest-edited by experts in the field and offer a comprehensive exploration of a topic from multiple perspectives.
• Editorials: Short articles that introduce a particular issue of the journal, highlight important themes, or discuss ongoing debates and developments in the research community.
• Letters to Authors: Correspondence between authors and editors, typically providing feedback on a submitted manuscript or responding to previous publications in the journal.
• Book Reviews: Critical reviews of newly published books in relevant areas of science, technology, healthcare, and humanities.
• Conference Proceedings: A compilation of selected presentations, papers, or discussions from academic conferences, workshops, or symposia.

Geographic Focus

While we embrace global research and encourage submissions from around the world, we are especially interested in studies that address challenges faced by low- and middle-income countries, emerging economies, and regions where innovative solutions can make a significant impact.
