Translational Haematology

Translational haematology is the study of hematologic (blood) disorders, such as anemia, leukemia, and lymphoma, from a clinical and scientific perspective. This field combines the disciplines of haematology and translational research, allowing for the development of treatments tailored to a specific patient’s individual needs and characteristics. The goal of translational haematology is to bridge the gap between basic science, discovery, and clinical practice, in order to improve patient outcomes. Advances in this field have resulted in better understanding of the mechanisms underlying hematologic diseases, leading to the development of new treatments and strategies to improve patient care.
