Yogesh Ashokrao Jadhav, PhD
Assistant Professor, Symbiosis Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology
Symbiosis International University, Pune, India
Biography
I am currently working as an Asst. Professor in the Symbiosis Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (SCNN), Symbiosis International University (SIU), Pune. Currently, Energy, Health and Environment are the most important research areas. Thus, generation and utilization of clean and renewable energy is one of the best ways towards green and sustainable future growth with no harmful effects on all living things. The nature of my research work is interdisciplinary, linking the electrochemistry with materials science, life-science, chemistry, physics for energy generation and storage devices. My preliminary research expertise is, design and synthesis of various nanocrystals/quantum dots (NCs/QDs) as a function of size, shape, doping, composition and heterostructures. To investigate their detailed optoelectronic properties for the Solar cells, Photocatalysis, Batteries, Water Splitting, Biosensors, Bioimaging for clean energy generation and biomedical applications. Also, have good hand-on experience of QDSSCs & DSSCs fabrication, Photo/electrocatalyst for water splitting (HER/OER), etc.
Research Interest
I am very passionate and strongly believing that, the colloidal NCs/QDs synthesis, interfacial charge carrier dynamics/kinetics investigation via spectroscopy and electrochemistry will definitely open a new avenue for design of active materials for developing high throughput biomedical and clean energy devices.
