Biography
Dr. Suresh Kumar Assistant Chemist Central Ground Water Board, Patna), (Ministry of Jal Shakti, Gov. of India) E-mail: saday_suresh@yahoo.co.in, Mobile: +91-8986826321, 8340773972 RESEARCH INTERESTS My research focuses on investigations on the Air Environment, Contaminant Hydrogeology, Geochemistry of F- & As, movement of groundwater through the subsurface and its interactions with the ore body/minerals. EDUCATION ? Ph.D., Chemistry IIT (ISM), Dhanbad, Jharkhand, India. 2014-2020 PROFESSIONAL APPOINTMENTS (18+ years of experience) ? Junior Scientific Assistant, Geo- Environment Division Central Institute of Mining &Fuel Research (CSIR), Dhanbad (Jharkhand),India 07/2002 - 02/2007 ? Assistant Chemist Central Ground Water Board, (Ministry of Jal Shakti, Gov. of India) Patna ,(Bihar),India 02/2007?till date RESEARCH EXPERIENCE PERTINENT TO Ph.D. Apart from the industrial experience during my service tenure, as a Part-time Research Scholar (2014-2018) I have completed a Ph.D. from IIT (ISM), Dhanbad, India over the topic entitled ?Geochemical behaviour of fluoride contamination in groundwater, its distribution and mobilization in and around Jamui, Indo-Gangetic alluvial plains, Bihar, India.?. I have undertaken various investigations using different hydrochemical, isotopic techniques, hydrological and Analytical Hierarchy Process (MCDM ? AHP) approach coupled with the GIS environment for delineating the spatial distribution of groundwater fluoride contamination regions in the study area. During my Ph.D. time, I did collaborative research work by integrating with research organizations (CIMFR, Dhanbad, IIT Bombay, and NPL, Ahmedabad) which is noteworthy and yielded good output and quality research publications. RESEARCH PUBLICATIONS IN PEER-REVIEWED JOURNALS It is worth mentioning that I have 19 Nos. of International research publications in peer-reviewed journals of reputed publishers, namely, Nature Research, Elsevier, Springer, Taylor & Francis Group etc. Perhaps the first medical geology, paper got published from India in Nature Scientific Reports. 1.
