Rayees Ahmed, PHD
Senior Research Fellow, Geography and Disaster Management
University of Kashmir, Srinagar, India
Biography
Rayees Ahmed is a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Geography and Disaster Management, University of Kashmir with a deep interest in climate change, cryosphere, and natural hazards. He has a wealth of knowledge in geospatial technology, which he uses to investigate and analyze the changes occurring in the environment.
Throughout his career, Rayees has conducted extensive research on the impact of climate change on the planet. He has a deep understanding of the relationship between climate change and the cryosphere, including the melting of glaciers and the shrinking of polar ice caps. Additionally, he has investigated the effects of natural hazards, such as floods and landslides, and the ways in which they are exacerbated by climate change.
Rayees has also become an expert in the use of geospatial technology in his research. He uses tools such as GIS, remote sensing, and mapping to gather and analyze data, which he then applies to his research on climate change and natural hazards. He has published over 25 articles on various topics related to his research, demonstrating his expertise and dedication to his field.
