Early-Life
David Chisompola, a PCR Scientist, who aims to improve public health through diagnostics and research in Biomedical Science. Born and raised in the town of Mufulira, David had a curiosity for the wonders of science which led him to pursue a career in Biomedical Science.
Education
David started his career at Ndola College of Biomedical Science, earning a Diploma in Biomedical Science. He pursued a BSc in Biomedical Science at South Valley University in 2021, expanding his understanding of scientific principles and research methodologies.
Work-Life
David gained experience in diagnostic methodologies at Ndola Teaching Hospital Pathology Laboratory and later at Arthur Davison Children's Hospital Pathology Laboratory, focusing on virology. He contributed to cutting-edge research in PCR science, particularly in areas such as HIV viral load, HIV Early Infant Diagnosis, HPV detection, HIV drug resistance, and SARs-cov-2 testing.
