Biography
I graduated from the Carol Davila University of Medicine, Bucharest, Romania in 1996 and in the period 1997-2001 I completed my residency in general surgery.
I started my academic career in 1999 as a Assistant Professor, then going through the successive stages of promotion as Lecturer (2011). I obtained the title of Doctor of Medicine (PhD) in 2006, with the thesis entitled "Acute pancreatitis ? clinical and therapeutic considerations"
I am currently the Chief Physician of the Surgery Department of the Dr. Carol Davila Nephrology Clinical Hospital in Bucharest. The activity consists in performing surgical interventions, coordinating resident doctors and medical students.
I coordinated 77 Dissertation theses for Medicine students.
I published 30 scientific articles and participated in 65 national and international congresses presenting 175 original papers.
I am Editorial Board Member for 11 Journal and I perform more that 100 reviews.
